Stated:         Individual X is hard of hearing and might not respond to all your remarks.
Interpreted: Individual X is an obnoxious, self-centre (bleep) that he would not be interested in responding, no matter who you are.

Stated:         You are vertically challenged.
Interpreted: You are short.

Stated:         He is being nice, but she's truthful.
Interpreted: He is a liar, but she's truthful.
