The Great Papaya Hunt

And so it began. The papaya hunt was on. According to reliable sources, on the condition of anonymity, they reported that papaya i.e. the target, was no where to be found in their respective hometowns', Penang and Ipoh.

So my search began right here in Kulim.

The first location was the Kulim market.

Date : 24/07/2005
Time : 0900
Location : Kulim Wet Market
Details : Every corner is searched thoroughly. No sight of target.

Next, the pasar malam.

Time : 1800
Location : Kelang Lama Pasar Malam
Details : The usual supplier is not to be found. Guess he too couldn't locate the target.


So, the next day...

Date : 25/07/2005
Time :1900
Location : Lunas Pasar Malam
Details : Suppliers are around, but inform me of their failure to capture target.

Just as I was about to give up,

Time :1932
Location : Fruit stall in Lunas
Details : Target located. Shop owner claims they are of Hawaii decent. Haggled for price.
Purchased 6 targets, i.e. all that was available.
