At times

At times you just desire
Desire for people to understand you
More than there is to be seen
It's like this alright

I want some things at some points of my life
And yet, at other points,
I want the exact opposite.

So, when I say when I want something,
That doesn't mean that the exact opposite is not welcome.

And double standards, yes there are.
For people approving of it on themselves.

For now I feel, it's better to keep things simple sometimes.
Just to feel free, happy and content with life,
Instead of looking at emotional needs,
It's just makes things simpler.

Don't have to comprehend me,
Not at all,
But just listen to me and tell me some stories.

I'd appreciate that for now.
