Orientation for the JULY 2004 intake.......

Last Saturday, CPUS Student Council organized an orientation programme for the juniors.Out of the 73, only 23 turned up as they were rather scared when the notice put up mentioned "Just bring extra clothes..hehe".

On that very morning,we (the seniors) were rather more excited than the juniors. We arrived in droves while they arrived individually, rather blur about what they were going to experience. We were all motivated, but they kept to themselves, whispering among each other.

Then,the fun started....

It began with the introduction of the juniors, and since we had lots of time to kill...we the seniors introduced ourselves too. Then, the first game started..the hobby game, where 4 juniors were taken out to be interviewed by one of the seniors, while the rest of us in the hall, were told their 'supposedly' true hobbies :

1.Picking his nose
2.Looking for lice
3.Flirting
4.Farting

And questions asked ranged from HOW OFTEN DO YOU DO IT? to DO YOU NEED ANY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT TO DO IT? They had a good time, I suppose because the ice had been broken, at least amongst the juniors themselves.

The next game was conducted by me. I experienced this game as a participant where stickers ,stuck on various body parts, had to make contact with each other when we were told to get into groups of, say 3 for instance. So, heads and knees and elbows will be at the same level for once. :) Initially, they didn't undersatnd it , but they got the hang of it later in the game.

After that, we had the newspaper-hit-me-if-you-can game, where we sat in a big circle and had to hit the other person's leg before he'she called out another person's name.If he/she called someoe else's name first, then we had to hit that person on the leg instead.

We concluded the seeion of indoor games with 2 other activities before we proceeded to playing the water games. It was like facing a death squad, except that the shooters were blindfolded and the guilty ones weren't.Before the session could end,we (the seniors) couldn't control ourselves and started firing waterbags at everyone in sight. Some were armed with waterguns, while the rest brought flour, eggs and soap as ammo. You can only imagine the sight where all the experience fom our previous water fights was put into good use in the college's carpark.6 eggs, courtesy of me,landed on Amisha,Victor,Bee Tee,Zijian,Emily and a junior who had the guts to challenge the seniors(not only me but a few others too).

We cleaned up the mess, had a couple of sandwiches and headed home with loads of stories to share with our mates who did not make it to this warfare.

THE END

Oh, btw, you forgot to mention the banana-eating game. How could you forget that? It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, one which I would not want to repeat anyway. =)
